AI use and transparency

No AI system talks to you on this site. Every result, check and piece of feedback comes from rules and calculations written in advance.

The Dutch, Polish and German versions of the pages are translated with the help of AI.

Not advice

Everything in this lab is for learning. It is not legal, financial, investment or other professional advice.

The pages on data, privacy and regulation are guidance for learning, not legal advice. Laws change and national rules add to them: check with your data protection officer or a lawyer before you rely on it.

Privacy and cookies

Pseudonymous usage statistics (pages visited, language, device type) are collected on the server with Azure Application Insights, without cookies; IP addresses are not stored.

The site sets cookies only to work: your theme and your language, kept for a year, and a security cookie that protects the page's forms. Azure App Service, which hosts the lab, adds two cookies that keep your visit on the same server while the page is open.

Your progress and your own copy of Harbour Mutual's database are kept in this browser, not on the lab's server. There is no sign-in.

Fictional companies and data

Harbour Mutual is a fictional insurer selling motor, home and travel insurance in the Netherlands, Poland and Germany. All its data is generated by a script with a fixed seed.

Its name, people and figures are made up; any likeness to a real company is a coincidence.

Trademarks

PostgreSQL is a registered trademark of the PostgreSQL Community Association of Canada.

Microsoft, Azure, Copilot and other Microsoft product names are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.

CloudWorrior is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft; the product names are used only to describe them.

Other product and company names belong to their owners.
